Joining Landmark Sotheby’s was a natural decision for this North Carolina native because, he says, the
company’s values mirror his own—to be the best at what he does and to provide second-to-none
service. He adds that integrity and sincerity are most important to him. Marcus’ clients become friends
because he insists on putting their needs ahead of his own.
“My promise to every client, buying or selling--our contract is only as good as the job you feel I’m doing
for you. I have one goal when you hire me and that is for you to win. I don’t write long listing agreements
because I don’t take a listing to have it sit on the market, I take it to get you what you want, and that is
to get you on to your next home with as much money in your pocket as possible. You getting what you
want, you winning, this is what I do and what I guarantee.”
Marcus brings creative nuance to the process of selling homes and enjoys taking homes that previously
sat on the market for months, getting them sold quickly and for more money.
“Getting buyers excited about your home ‘before’ they ever step foot in the door is paramount in getting
you top-dollar in the shortest amount of time. It requires being able to see and communicate the
important details that can make a huge difference. We don’t list your home; we showcase your home.”
When his focus is not on buying and selling real estate, Marcus spends his free time painting (his second
career) and traveling with his wife and business partner Colette. One of his greatest joys in life is
watching his two grandsons play baseball.
